Big Pink Cupcake

The weather around here has been rain, rain and more rain….

We recently went to Rockin’ Cupcakes here in Rockport MA. It is a little shop located on Bearskin Neck.

I got the Carrot Top which is basically a carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese frosting - very yummy!

Brian got the Peanut Butter Cup which is chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and I believe a little peanut butter filling. He liked it and I tried it as well but we both thought that the chocolate cake wasn’t very chocolaty.  Don’t get me wrong it was good, but I think it could have had a more distinct chocolate flavor.

We definitely plan on going again soon and want to taste all that Rockin’ Cupcakes has to offer.

Because we still have so many blueberries that we are trying to use

I love ice cream……but an ice cream sandwich is even better

Our first pepper! Actually this is the first thing to come from our little garden besides herbs (our basil plant is out of control). In fact all of our plant are thriving we just hadn’t gotten any veggies yet. We were a little worried about the cucumber plant…..it was attacking some of the tomato plants!

We also saw The Dark Night at the IMax Theater in Reading today. The movie was AWESOME!!!! Christian Bale was awesome, but I didn’t care much for the Batman voice. Heath Ledger was amazing as The Joker.

i recently participated in a handmade cupcake topper swap hosted by Natalie of Bake & Destroy.

the instructions were to make two sets of 12 cupcake toppers for your swap partner. one set could be whatever and the other set had to be influenced by something found in your partner’s profile.

for my choice i made lemons and limes

i thought that they would be perfect for summer…….margarita cupcakes perhaps!

my partners profile didn’t have much information on it but she loves cupcakes…..

so i thought cupcakes would be cute.

hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!

thursday after work we rushed home and got ready for the Horribles Parade. the parade started out great….but the weather around here has been kind of weird with sudden crazy thunder storms. anyway the sky got really dark and we ended up running home in the rain! Friday we got up early and headed to maine to spend the long weekend with my family. we had a cookout with some family friends and just had a good time.

Yesterday I had one of the best cupcakes I have had in a long time. It was tiny but oh so good!!

It was strawberry banana frosting with vanilla cake. Unfortunately the batteries in my “good” camera died so I had to take a picture with my cell phone Bad timing. Awesome cupcake!
